Matthew Bonko
is a professional engineer and traveler born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. In 2016, he completed his first round-the-world continuous backpacking trip.
Over the course of 14 months Matt explored 24 countries, 3 continents & 70 cities including stays in rural villages in India, Nepal and North Africa. He experienced the social benefits of the street kids non-profit initiative in New Delhi, learned how the Women’s Weaving Co-operative in Peru’s Sacred Valley impacts their community, & toured the UN sponsored Aida Refugee Camp in the West Bank, Palestine.
Matt currently resides in Calgary, Alberta and is privileged to have traveled to 66 countries en route to his goal of 100 while being an active volunteer in his community.
